Conwy Libraries celebrate National Bookstart Week

30th May 2017

Categories: News

Libraries in Conwy County are joining in with National Bookstart Week (5-11 June) with specially themed story time sessions for under 5s.

The theme of National Bookstart Week this year is Let's Explore Outdoors and the chosen book is ‘Everybunny Dance!’ by Ellie Sandall - a lovely story all about friendship that's guaranteed to get little ones moving.

The free sessions take place at the following libraries:
◾Abergele Library, 10am on 5 June
◾Colwyn Bay Library, 10.30am on 7 June and 2pm on 9 June
◾Conwy Library, 11am on 5 June
◾Llandudno Library, 11am on 5 June and 2pm on 9 June
◾Llanrwst Library, 10.30am on 8 June

Children who come to any of the events will receive a free copy of ‘Everybunny dance!’

Bookstart was established in 1992 and is run by the reading charity BookTrust. It gives free books to children at two key ages before school to help families read together every day and inspire children with a rewarding love of books.

There’s no need to book for the sessions, just come along. For more information visit or contact your local library.

All events are suitable for children under 5 and their carers.
