Waterfront Project Traffic Update

4th April 2017

Categories: News

As Phase 2 of Conwy County Borough Council’s Colwyn Bay Waterfront project progresses, the road between the Cayley Embankment and Marine Road is due to re-open to two-way traffic for the fortnight’s Easter holidays between 7 and 24 April. The main promenade closure from Marine Road to the Pier remains in place whilst the work there continues until the summer.

The traffic controls are in place to allow contactors to work on coastal defences and environmental improvements to the promenade which are being carried out as part of Phase 2 of the Waterfront Project.

After the Easter period (week commencing 24 April) there will some two-way ‘stop-go’ traffic control on the Cayley bank to Marine Road section to allow for some final surfacing work to be carried out.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst these improvements to the promenade take place.

More information about the Waterfront Project can be found on the Council’s website or contact or call 01492 575337.
