A Vison for the Bay of Colwyn

The BID Proposal and Business Plan sets a new and exciting vision ‘Creating the Bay of Colwyn: the seaside centre perfectly placed for business and leisure’.

Chris Jackson, Interim Chair of the Colwyn BID Steering Group said, The key challenge the Bay of Colwyn has to overcome is a lack of identity and sense of direction about its future. Colwyn is often passed by and yet it is home to respected and internationally acclaimed businesses, it has a superb coastal environment and has internationally acclaimed facilities such as those at Eirias Park.

‘This project gives us a business-driven focus to ensure that the Bay of Colwyn starts to take advantage of its key assets, its businesses and acclaimed educational establishments.’ said Chris.

£1.4 million for businesses to spend in the area.

Teresa Carnall of TBC Marketing and Chair of the Bay of Colwyn Business Network says,’ For the smallest business in the Business Improvement District, the daily cost at just 49pence, is less than a first class postage stamp and even for a large business the daily cost is less than the price of a single cinema ticket’.

‘In addition to the cash we will have direct control over to spend on projects in the BID Proposal, the collective influence we will have to get things done, to help our businesses will be amazing.’ said Teresa.
